“Auto Action magazine’s production department has always found James Baker’s images to be top-notch. What’s more, James’s work is always delivered when promised and he’s quick to respond to the requests our weekly mag fires his way. That’s why his photography features so prominently on our pages. He’s a hardworking, no fuss, easygoing guy and it is little wonder his business is thriving.”
Luke West, Sub-editor, Australian Auto Action, Editor Australian Muscle Car.
“I have worked with James for many years now, both in my capacity as production editor on TopGear Australia magazine and as a former editor of the award-winning magazine Auto Action. I found myself repeatedly calling on James’ services because of his dedication and professional approach, as well as his ‘can do’ attitude. Photographers often work in trying conditions, but James never misses a beat despite enduring 12-hour plus days in torrid heat or driving rain. He just sets out and gets the job done. He also files promptly and with no fuss. James is one of the most highly regarded professional motorsport action photographers in Australia, and with very good reason. I am only too pleased to provide James with this reference.”
Tim Robson, Editor, topgear.com
James was also the official Mini Challenge photographer in 2010 and 2011 supplying photos to drivers and the series organisers.
“James Baker has been engaged as our photographer of record for the MINI Challenge in Australia. Working with James over the years we have come to respect and appreciate the quality of his work, his ability to be in the right place at the right time, with the right lens is nothing less than astonishing. James is happy taking direction or discussing a brief, he covers all of our MINI Challenge photographic needs whether it be on-track, in paddock or simply shooting portraits of the drivers. We have used his images in many different environments including internal communications, press releases and the website to name a few. He also selects the best shots and delivers his work in real time allowing us to utilise images just hours after they have been taken. Most importantly he is reliable and accommodating and nothing we have asked has been too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending James Baker to any prospective clients.”
Chris Brown, Mini Australia Marketing Manager
Since 2014 James has photographed the Adelaide 500 for V8X and continued to photograph major speedway events. He has also developed and maintained websites for Speedway City, Adelaide and Murray Bridge Speedway as well as providing graphic design for the venues programs and promotional material.
James also supplies photography for the A-League club, Adelaide United, he is the official photographer of the Southern Football League and would love to be a part of your event or club.
